A car that won't start, has been in an accident, or has sat in the sun for years still has value. It may not be worth much as a car anyone will drive again, but its parts and materials are worth something to someone, and that is what a fair offer is built on.
Non-running cars are routine for us. We buy cars that are wrecked, missing parts, sun-faded or long-parked, and a crew brings a truck that can move a car that doesn't roll on its own. Towing is free, and it is never taken out of your check.
What happens after you sell is less mysterious than it sounds. Usable parts are pulled and resold to people repairing other cars, fluids and hazardous materials are drained and handled properly, and what remains is recycled as metal.
