Title & Nevada paperwork
Missing title, plates, liens — the DMV side, for Nevada only.
Selling a car in Nevada comes with paperwork, and most of the worry is about the title. If you have it, you sign it over exactly as your name appears on it, and if two owners are listed with "and", both of you sign. Any loan on the car has to be paid off before ownership can move to anyone else.
If the title is lost, it is often still possible to sell. Sometimes the faster route is a duplicate from the Nevada DMV; sometimes there are other options depending on why it is missing. The plates are yours, not the car's: in Nevada they come off when the car goes, and you either move them to another vehicle or turn them in.
